A Romanian woman from Austria has been sent to trial for contempt after threatening the prosecutor in the case via WhatsApp messages.

A woman living in Austria has been sent to trial in a state of freedom for two counts of contempt, after threatening the case prosecutor of a criminal file through WhatsApp messages. On September 28, 2025, she acted out of revenge, related to the way a murder case was resolved, threatening with arson and other unjust crimes against the life and integrity of the prosecutor.

The messages were sent between September 28 – October 2, 2025, with the aim of intimidating and obtaining a mitigation of the legal situation of another person involved in the case. The hearing of the accused was conducted through European investigation orders, executed by the judicial authorities in Austria, where she resides. The case is handled by the Buftea Court.
