The police in Koh Pha Ngan conducted a raid on July 4 at the Little Panda childcare center after receiving information about its illegal operation from foreign citizens. During the inspection, 42 children aged between two and six were found, supervised by Thai and foreign staff.
The center charged a fee of 45,000 baht for a four-month term and was equipped with classrooms and teaching materials. Ziv Radomsky, a 55-year-old Israeli, identified himself as the owner but could not present a work permit or an operating license.
Meda Andreea Capilna, a 25-year-old Romanian, worked as a care supervisor, although she had a work permit granted for another activity. Both were arrested and charged with the illegal operation of the center and working without permits. Authorities continue to investigate the center's activities and the status of the employees.
