Meteorologists have issued a yellow warning for wind for several regions in Romania, valid on December 31, between 08:00 and 20:00. The wind will blow at speeds of 50...70 km/h in the north and northeast of Moldova, the east and southeast of Transylvania, while in the Southern and Eastern Carpathians, gusts will reach 60...85 km/h. At altitudes above 1700 m, the wind may reach speeds of 90...120 km/h, accompanied by blizzard-like snowfall and reduced visibility. Intensifications of the wind will also be recorded in the west and south of Oltenia, as well as in the southwest of Muntenia, and throughout the day, the wind will also have speeds of 40...45 km/h in the rest of Transylvania and along the coast.
