The National Integrity Agency (ANI) announced that approximately 35% of the total active prohibitions monitored are related to conflicts of interest, with most of the individuals involved being declared in conflict while exercising elective functions. Of the 122 cases, 25 became final through non-contestation, and 14 due to lack of appeal.

The sanctions applied varied, including salary reductions of between 5% and 20% for periods ranging from one month to six months. Additionally, 47 individuals under prohibition continue to hold public or elective positions, of which 22 have been declared in conflict of interest while exercising these functions. ANI emphasizes the need to strengthen legislation to prevent these situations, proposing that violations of the conflict of interest regime should have a preventive and discouraging character.
