On Sunday evening, in Sector 2 of the Capital, a woman was stabbed by her former partner, a man 20 years younger, in the elevator of the building where she lived. The attack occurred after the man tried to convince her to resume their relationship, even getting down on his knees to ask for forgiveness. After a few minutes of conversation, the man became aggressive, pushing the woman, and then took out a screwdriver and attacked her multiple times.
The woman managed to push him out of the elevator and took refuge in her apartment, where her son notified the authorities. The woman was transported to the hospital and is in stable condition. The police managed to locate the aggressor after 16 hours, conducting a search at his address in Sector 4, where they apprehended him for questioning. The man is known to be a repeat offender.
