The Romanian Border Police has issued a warning regarding the severe weather conditions forecasted between February 17 and 19, including snowfall, blizzards, ice, and wind intensifications, which may affect traffic in the border area. Authorities emphasize that these phenomena may cause delays and temporary traffic restrictions, especially on heavily trafficked roads and those connecting Romania to neighboring countries.

Police recommend drivers to stay informed about the weather conditions, to equip their vehicles properly for winter, and to exercise caution. It is also recommended to consider alternative routes.

In the Capital and 12 counties in Muntenia and Moldova, an orange code for heavy snowfall has been issued, while in other areas, a yellow code for significant precipitation.
