The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has published the forecast for the next four weeks, announcing that starting from January 5, 2026, temperatures will be higher than normal for the season in all regions of Romania.

In the week of 29.12.2025 – 05.01.2026, the thermal values will generally be normal, but slightly lower in the Southern Carpathians. Precipitation will be excessive in the northern part of the Eastern Carpathians and in the Apuseni Mountains, but deficient in the extracarpathian regions. In the following weeks, from 05.01.2026 to 26.01.2026, temperatures will continue to be higher, especially in the southeast, while precipitation will be excessive in the western part of the country, approaching normal in the rest. This trend suggests a warmer winter than usual, with variations in the rainfall regime.
