Until 9 PM, 589,875 Bucharest residents have voted, fewer than in the local elections on June 9, 2024, when by 9 PM there were 710,169 expressed votes recorded. Since the law states that all citizens with the right to vote who are inside the polling station at the official closing time (9 PM) of the ballot boxes have the right to vote, a few hundred more votes can still be added to the number recorded so far. The June 2024 election was extended until 10 PM, so the final number of expressed votes was 747,254.

The largest number of voters is in sector 6, where 121,816 voters cast their ballots. The fewest voters are in sector 5, where 71,431 voters participated. We remind that the turnout broken down by sectors can be a relevant indicator of the extent to which the opinions expressed in the local elections of June 2024 are maintained, when Ciprian Ciucu won in Sector 6 with 73% of the votes and Daniel Băluță won in Sector 4 with 60%, both candidates in the current elections for the General Mayor of Bucharest.

The voting process ends at 9:00 PM, without the possibility of extension.
