The former Minister of Health, Vlad Voiculescu, asked the resigning minister Alexandru Rogobete to clarify the situation of investments in hospitals from the PNRR, highlighting the delays and shifts to other funding sources. Voiculescu pointed out that, although Rogobete coordinated the health component of the PNRR for 4.5 years, he did not present a detailed report before leaving his position. By April 2026, out of the 27 promised hospitals, only one is operational, and another seven could be completed by 2026.

New hospitals have been moved to the Health Program 2021-2027, and three have been completely abandoned. In contrast, Rogobete stated that only eight hospitals remain in the PNRR and assured that the works are ongoing, with completion deadlines set for 2026. He emphasized the progress in the construction of hospitals and mentioned that the works are advanced, with equipment being installed.
