TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanne has warned that the future of Russian gas transit through Ukraine remains a major uncertainty for gas prices in Europe.

The transit agreement that has allowed 15 billion cubic meters of Russian gas to be delivered to the EU via Ukraine is set to expire, and there are fears that deliveries could be halted prematurely because of the conflict in Russia's Kursk region. Although gas storage in Europe is full, there are concerns about possible transit disruptions.
