A 28-year-old Ukrainian man was found dead in the Maramureș Mountains after being reported missing by another Ukrainian citizen who managed to reach the Border Police. Mountain rescuers were alerted on Wednesday about the young man's health condition, who was about 100 meters inside Romanian territory. He was dressed lightly, without socks and with bare ankles, and complained of extreme weakness, becoming completely immobilized. Rescue teams ascended the mountain to recover him, but unfortunately, the young man was found without life. Forensic authorities were notified to initiate the necessary legal procedures in such cases, and the body will be evacuated subsequently.
