Scenariod for 47,000 euros: two people from Vaslui, arrested for blackmail

Two individuals from Vaslui County have been arrested preventively for extortion, after they orchestrated a fake kidnapping in order to obtain 47,000 euros. According to the police, a 33-year-old woman and a 31-year-old man created and sent a video clip to her partner in which the woman appeared tied up and unconscious, to coerce him into paying the demanded amount.

The plan was thwarted by law enforcement, who apprehended the two and ordered their preventive arrest for 30 days, with investigations continuing under the coordination of the Prosecutor's Office next to the Bârlad Court.
