The DNA prosecutors have sent to trial two professors from the 'Dunărea de Jos' University in Galați, Olimpia Dumitriu Buzia and Silvia Robu, for taking bribes. They allegedly received money and goods from students to help them pass the residency exam in the General Pharmacy specialization.
Members of the examination committee allowed the use of mobile phones and notes, so all candidates who bribed were declared admitted with high averages. In total, over 20 people are being investigated, including 20 students sent to trial for giving bribes. The DNA has confiscated sums of money and jewelry from the defendants, and the case has been sent to the Galați Tribunal for trial.
