In January 2025, two men robbed a gambling parlor in Brasov, threatening the employee with a knife and stealing 130,000 lei. After committing the crime, they fled the country, but were tracked down in England. One of them was extradited on May 23, 2025 and has been arrested, while extradition proceedings are ongoing for the other. The robbery was quickly investigated by the police, who cooperated with the Covasna authorities.
