Rail traffic on the Albești Târnava – Vânători section has been suspended due to a cracked rail.

CFR announced on Thursday morning a break in the rail line II, between Albești Târnava and Vânători, in the Brașov Regional Railway Branch, at km 291+510.

For safety reasons, train traffic was immediately halted, considering that line I is already closed for infrastructure works. This situation has led to blockages in passenger train operations, including the stopping of train IR 10030, operated by Transferoviar Călători, at the Albești station. Specialized teams are working on repairing the affected infrastructure, and CFR will provide updated information regarding the resumption of traffic on this sector.
