Traian Preoteasa announced that all the contracts for the modernization of 139 wagons and 55 electric locomotives have been signed, but the delayed payments by the Ministry of Finance risk to block the whole project. He also referred to the delays in the delivery of the railcars by the Railway Reform Authority, stressing that CFR Călători will not benefit from such a modernization project in the next ten years if the situation does not improve.
