A 16-year-old teenager died after being hit by a train in Comarnic. The police are investigating the circumstances of the accident.

On Wednesday afternoon, a 16-year-old teenager died after being hit by a train in the area of the town of Comarnic, Prahova County. The accident occurred around 2:35 PM, and a man called 112 to report the incident. According to initial investigations, the young man was moving between the railway tracks when he was struck by the train traveling on the Galați – Brașov route.

An ambulance intervened at the scene; however, the resuscitation efforts made by the medical staff were unsuccessful, and the teenager was pronounced dead. His body was transported to the Prahova Forensic Medicine Service for an autopsy. The police continue the investigations to establish all the circumstances of the accident, opening a criminal case for manslaughter.
