Ivan Savvidis, the president of the PAOK club, expressed his deep sorrow following the tragedy in Timiș, where a road accident led to the death of seven Greek supporters of the team. They were traveling to France to attend the match between PAOK Thessaloniki and Olympique Lyon. Following the accident, six people were found dead at the scene, and the seventh died on the way to the hospital.
The minibus, which had a capacity of 8+1, went into a skid and collided with a truck. Savvidis emphasized that these young people were part of the PAOK family and conveyed his condolences to the grieving families, expressing his support for the injured. The match between PAOK and Lyon is scheduled for Thursday evening.
