The actors of the National Theatre 'I.L. Caragiale' in Bucharest, together with the staff from all sectors of the theatre, will protest in front of TNB against the implementation of a pilot program imposed by the Ministry of Culture.

This program, brought to attention through Circular no. 766/03.02.2026, requires employees to report their detailed activities daily, thus regulating artistic work. The actors argue that this project affects creativity, turning them into "report writers" and that artistic work cannot be quantified in fixed hours. Additionally, the new rules require the reporting of invisible activities, such as memorizing texts, which is considered unacceptable. The protest is a reaction to the Ministry of Culture's desire to regulate the situation of employees, which, in their opinion, does not reflect the reality of artistic work. Minister Demeter Andras emphasized the need to reorganize the cultural system to avoid financial problems.
