The University of Oradea inaugurated an automatic packaging collection system with a guarantee (RVM) on Monday as part of the national project 'Eco Student', aimed at over 15,000 students. They can return packaging to receive a voucher of 50 bani, usable at the Fresco Piatto restaurant on campus. At the inauguration, the collection container was quickly filled, highlighting the students' interest.

Rector Constantin Bungău emphasized the importance of this project for waste management, aiming to transform the campus into a model of sustainability. The project includes workshops on circular economy and the functioning of the Guarantee-Return System (SGR). The university joins the national initiative 'Eco Student', launched by the Ecoteca Association, aimed at creating a packaging collection infrastructure in the academic environment. This is part of the university's commitment to promote sustainability and responsible education towards the environment.
