According to data from the National Institute of Statistics (INS), the unemployment rate in December 2025 was 6%, the same value as in November. The estimated number of unemployed people aged 15-74 was 493,700, remaining constant compared to the previous month, but increasing compared to December 2024, when there were 462,700 unemployed. The unemployment rate for women was 6.1%, 0.2 percentage points higher than that of men, which was 5.9%. Additionally, the unemployment rate among young people (15-24 years) was alarmingly high at 26.9% during the period of July-September 2025. Among adults (25-74 years), the unemployment rate was 4.6%, with similar values for men (4.6%) and women (4.5%). People in this age group constitute 72.1% of the total estimated unemployed for December 2025.
