The Sector 3 City Hall continues to implement a comprehensive energy efficiency program for educational infrastructure by installing photovoltaic systems at all state pre-university educational institutions in the sector. Using European funds for the transition to green energy, the local administration will install approximately 13,000 photovoltaic panels, generating a total production capacity of approximately 5 MW.
These projects bring significant benefits, such as reducing electricity consumption from conventional sources, lowering operating costs, decreasing CO₂ emissions, and increasing the energy independence of educational institutions. The energy produced will be used for the current operation of schools and kindergartens, stabilizing utility expenses. Through these initiatives, educational institutions become examples of sustainability and energy efficiency, demonstrating that the energy transition can be effectively achieved in public infrastructure.
