The Oltenia Energy Complex (CE Oltenia) is facing financial difficulties, failing to sell the 21 electricity packages put up for auction.

The company's management stated that market prices are decreasing, while costs for CO2 emissions are rising, which complicates sales. Although CE Oltenia has benefited from state aid for restructuring, the company risks ending the year with losses. Auctions for energy packages, which included deliveries for the year 2026, were canceled due to lack of interest.
