The Ministry of National Defense intends to develop its own software for drones, as part of the modernization process of defense systems.

The initiative aims to create an information system that integrates data from multiple military sources, such as radars and aircraft, for better coordination and analysis.

According to the Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, the project will focus exclusively on the software side, while the hardware part will remain the responsibility of private companies.

In this regard, the Ministry of National Defense is working on forming a team of young engineers and programmers, initially limited, but which could be significantly expanded.

The objective is to develop an internal solution, tailored to the needs of the Romanian Army, that will reduce dependence on external technologies.
