The Minister of Energy, Bogdan Ivan, stated that it is illogical for hydropower investments initiated decades ago to be blocked due to some mollusks or fish. He believes that these projects, essential for green energy production, should benefit from a special status in order to be realized. Ivan emphasized the need for clear and swift legislation in issuing environmental permits, to support the economic development of Romania and reduce energy costs for citizens.
