The mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, USR leader, will take the oath of allegiance to Romania on Thursday, marking the final step in obtaining Romanian citizenship. He was admitted to the citizenship interview test a month ago. At the oath ceremony, scheduled to take place at the headquarters of the National Authority for Citizenship, 24 people will participate. According to the legislation, Romanian citizenship is granted on the date of the oath.

Fritz previously announced that he feels grateful for his reception in Romania and shared details about his interview, which included questions about Romanian history and culture. Although he encountered difficulties in the citizenship acquisition process, he emphasized that this experience made him feel even more Romanian.
