A swan was rescued by firefighters on Lake Ciuperca in Tulcea, after it became trapped in ice. The bird was cared for at the ISU headquarters before being released.

The firefighters from Tulcea intervened to save a duck that got stuck in ice on Lake Ciuperca. The call to 112 was made on Wednesday, when a drake managed to free itself, but the duck remained trapped, with its feathers weighed down by ice chunks. The prompt intervention of the rescuers was essential to prevent a tragic outcome.

After the rescue, the duck was taken to the headquarters of the Tulcea Inspectorate for Emergency Situations to regain its strength. Once it was cared for, the bird was released in the area of the lake, where it could reunite with its drake. This action underscores the firefighters' commitment to protecting animal life in emergency situations.
