The firefighters from ISU Delta Tulcea intervened to save a puppy that had fallen into a 15-meter disused well, located in the commune of Valea Nucarilor. The barking of the animal was heard by a nearby woman, who alerted the authorities. The rescue and climbing team quickly arrived at the scene, and in less than 30 minutes, a climber descended into the well and retrieved the puppy, which fortunately did not suffer any injuries. The firefighters emphasized the importance of securing disused wells and other hazards, warning that, especially children, can be attracted to these places, thus putting their lives in danger. They called on citizens to take safety measures and report any potential dangers to the authorities.
