In the last 24 hours, the firefighters from ISU Bucharest-Ilfov managed a record number of 400 interventions, exceeding the usual average of about 350. Among these, 38 were fires, some breaking out on the balconies of apartment buildings, possibly due to New Year's fireworks.
A notable incident occurred on Buzoieni Street, where six people were medically assisted due to smoke exposure, and two of them required transport to the hospital with burns. Firefighters also intervened at events with large crowds in the Capital, without recording major incidents.
Additionally, fires were extinguished at the facade of a building on Olteniței Road and at a garage on Piatra Neamț Street. ISU reminds citizens of fire prevention measures, especially in the cold season, in the context of decreasing temperatures.
