The head of the Department for Emergency Situations, Raed Arafat, declared on Friday that the operations to evacuate the population from Constanța and Tulcea have been suspended, and the situation is now under control. Arafat mentioned that RO-Alert messages have been sent to inform citizens that evacuation is no longer necessary.
These preventive operations were carried out to ensure the safety of residents, and two helicopters conducted checks in the area. Following discussions with members of the Emergency Situations Committee and colleagues from the Ministry of Defense, Arafat concluded that preventive evacuation is no longer justified and that people can return to normalcy.
