The Competition Council announced on Tuesday the authorization of the transaction through which CCL Avery Holdings B.V. from the Netherlands will acquire ALT Technologies Transylvania S.R.L. This acquisition is part of a global operation to take over the social shares of Advanced Safety Technologies B.V. and all its subsidiaries.

CCL Avery Holdings B.V. is a holding company, part of the CCL Industries, Inc. group, which produces labels and specialty packaging, having revenues in Romania, but without local subsidiaries. ALT Technologies Transylvania S.R.L. is the local subsidiary of the ALT Group, a supplier of die-cut and self-adhesive products for the automotive safety and durable goods sectors.

The Competition Council concluded that the transaction will not negatively affect competition in the Romanian market and that it is compatible with a normal competitive environment. The decision will be published on the website of the national competition authority, after the removal of confidential information.
