The ANM has issued a yellow code for freezing weather and blizzards for the counties in Moldova, Transylvania, and Banat, valid until Tuesday evening.

The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has announced new yellow warnings for freezing weather, intensifications of the wind, and blizzards, valid until Tuesday evening in the counties of Moldova, Transylvania, and Banat.

Between February 9, 10:00 AM and February 10, 10:00 AM, extremely low temperatures are expected in Moldova and eastern Transylvania, with values between -7 and -3 degrees, while on the night from Monday to Tuesday, the minimum temperatures will fluctuate between -14 and -10 degrees. The affected counties include Bacău, Botoșani, Covasna, Galați, Harghita, Iași, Neamț, Suceava, Vrancea, and Vaslui. Additionally, between February 9, 3:00 PM and February 10, 8:00 PM, a second yellow warning will be in effect for intensifications of the wind and blizzards in southern Banat, with gusts of 50-70 km/h, and in the Southern Carpathians, at high altitudes, gusts will exceed 70-90 km/h. The counties of Caraș-Severin and Mehedinți are also targeted by these warnings.
