The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has restricted the area of severe weather phenomena but has extended three alerts, valid until January 5, at 8:00 PM. The weather report forecasts moderate precipitation in most of the country, with accumulations of water between 10 and 30 l/m². In the mountains, snowfall will lead to a consistent snow layer of 20-50 cm, while in hilly areas, such as Transylvania and Maramureș, 5-15 cm of snow will accumulate. The wind will intensify blizzard conditions, with gusts exceeding 70-80 km/h at high altitudes. ANM has also issued a Yellow Code for wind intensifications in the Eastern Carpathians and along the coast, and traffic on national roads and highways is taking place under winter conditions. Additionally, significant quantitative precipitation is expected, predominantly in the form of snow, in various regions, with accumulations of 30-50 l/m².
