The salaries of the miners and energy workers at the Complex Energetic Valea Jiului have been delayed, causing tensions among employees. Management has notified the union that the payments will not be made on August 20, as scheduled. Darius Câmpean, president of the Mountain Union, demanded the resignation of the management and emphasized that the responsibility for the payments lies with the administration. CEVJ director Eduard Mija explained that the delays are due to the need for legal clarifications between ministries in order to release funds. Salaries could be transferred on August 22.
