The former Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, clarified that TAROM will not be closing, emphasizing that there is an agreement with the European Commission for the company's support. During a review conference, he mentioned that the budget for 2026 allocates an additional 65 million lei for TAROM, after a similar state aid was granted last year. Șerban dismissed rumors about the company's closure, stating that the director of TAROM has a good plan.

Additionally, the Permanent Bureau of the Senate approved the urgent procedure debate of a bill that prohibits the sale of state assets in strategic companies until 2027. TAROM unionists expressed concerns about the possible dissolution of the company, accusing the Executive of a lack of support. Deputy Prime Minister Oana Gheorghiu emphasized the need for recovery measures for TAROM, CFR Călători, and Metrorex.
