Florin Manole, the Minister of Labor, announced at a press conference in Arad the launch of an important project aimed at subsidizing jobs for young people. The project, proposed in September, was blocked for a while, but will start in April, with an unjustified delay.

Young employees will benefit from a subsidy of 1,000 lei in the first 12 months and 1,250 lei in the following 12 months, while employers will receive 2,250 lei for the first 12 months. After the 24 months of subsidization, employees will need to remain in the company for another 18 months. Manole emphasized the importance of this program in the context of the high unemployment rate among young people in Romania, considering it a crucial investment in the country's future. The minister attended a meeting with the managers of subordinate institutions to discuss measures to reduce budgetary expenditures.
