According to Law no. 126/1995, individuals cannot possess or use pyrotechnic articles without demonstrating the quality of a licensed pyrotechnician or artificer. An exception is made for individuals over 16 years old, who can use articles from categories 1 and P1. Non-compliance with these regulations can lead to fines of up to 7,500 lei, and legal entities may receive even higher penalties. In certain cases, such as conducting illegal operations with pyrotechnic articles or selling them to minors, prison sentences of 3 months to one year may be applied. Additionally, the use of pyrotechnic articles is prohibited in certain situations to prevent accidents.
