The Minister of the Environment, Diana Buzoianu, stated that the tree cuttings in Băile Felix, considered illegal, will be checked by the Forestry Guard from Oradea. The controls will be thorough, including through a random control mechanism to ensure the accuracy of the checks. Although the Forestry Guard reported that the cuttings comply with the legislation, Buzoianu requested a detailed analysis of all cuttings carried out or marked. Recently, new irregularities have been discovered, including trees cut without marking, which constitutes a criminal offense. Inspectors from the Environmental Guard confirmed the existence of unmarked stumps, and the penalties for illegal cuttings can range from fines to criminal cases, depending on the severity.
