Sorin Grindeanu responded to the accusations regarding the "local barons" made by Ilie Bolojan, arguing that the discussion should be extended to the substantial funds allocated from the state budget to Bihor and Oradea. In his intervention in Parliament, in the context of the no-confidence motion, the PSD leader also criticized the way selections were managed in the energy companies, stating that most of the contested decisions took place during the period when PNL was in power and pointing out individuals close to the liberals involved in procedures rejected by the European Commission.
