The National School of Political Studies and Public Administration (SNSPA) has announced the suspension of all classes scheduled for Wednesday, February 18, 2026, due to the weather warning orange code issued for Bucharest. The university decided to suspend teaching activities to ensure the safety of students and teaching staff, and the classes will be rescheduled later. This is the first university to take such a measure in the context of severe weather conditions. The orange code warning, which comes into effect on Tuesday evening, forecasts heavy snowfall and blizzards in Bucharest and 12 counties, with a snow layer of up to 50 cm. The wind will have strong gusts, and visibility will be reduced. In Bucharest, it is estimated that between 25 and 45 cm of snow will fall, and temperatures will range from -5 to 3 degrees Celsius. The warning expires on Wednesday at 12:00, according to ANM.
