On Saturday, a boat ran aground on the Chilia branch of the Danube, injuring two people. Border guards from the Chilia Border Police Sector intervened quickly after being alerted by a tourist. They assessed the condition of the victims and called the SMURD aeromedical crew to pick them up and provide medical care. The intervention was carried out safely thanks to the efficient cooperation between the institutions involved.
