The Ministry of Energy announced the suspension of Silviu Răzvan Avram from his position as a member of the Supervisory Board (SB) until the completion of the criminal case in which he is a defendant. If Avram refuses to sign the Additional Act that provides for the suspension, the General Assembly can decide on his immediate dismissal. The Ministry cited the criminal cases in which Avram is involved, including a case for bribery, which is pending at the Bucharest Court of Appeal.

The General Assembly of Hidroelectrica will take place on May 29, 2026, and the agenda will include the proposal for suspension. If there is no final court ruling within 90 days, the Ministry can request Avram's dismissal from the SB. His refusal to sign the Additional Act will lead to his immediate removal from office.
