Images of a Siberian tiger in the yard of a man from Dâmbovița have gone viral, the police have opened a criminal case for the illegal possession of animals.

A free Siberian tiger in the yard of a man from Dâmbovița County has sparked controversy on TikTok, where the owner posted images of the animal and other species. He owns a menagerie in the locality of Picior de Munte, where last summer the Environmental Guard discovered an illegal zoo with bears, deer, and lions.

Following the appearance of the images, the Dâmbovița Police opened a criminal case for the illegal possession of wild animals, with the investigations being coordinated by a prosecutor. Previously, the Environmental Guard imposed fines and enforced remedial measures, and the owner could not prove the origin of the animals. They remain in his custody until the legal situation is clarified.
