On Tuesday morning, a serious accident occurred on the A1 highway, between two passenger transport minibuses, injuring four people, including two minors. The accident happened in the Deva-Sibiu direction, when the driver of one minibus, a 39-year-old foreign citizen, failed to maintain a safe distance and collided with another minibus driven by another foreign citizen, aged 47. Following the incident, authorities activated the Red Intervention Plan, and four people were transported to the hospital with various injuries, including a 7-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl, both suffering from head injuries. Traffic on the A1 is restricted in lane 2 at km 266, near the locality of Săliște, due to the accident. The police have opened an investigation to determine the exact causes of the incident.
