A 41-year-old driver and his daughters were in critical condition at the hospital after colliding with a truck following a dangerous overtaking.

A serious accident occurred on national road 6, between Orșova and Drobeta Turnu Severin, in Mehedinți County, when a 41-year-old driver made a dangerous overtaking maneuver and collided with a truck that was driving legally. The incident was captured by the dashcam of the truck driver, who stated that he tried to avoid the impact but did not have enough time. The car, in which the driver's two daughters were also present, remained suspended on a guardrail. Firefighters intervened to rescue the woman from the vehicle. All three victims are conscious but have suffered multiple traumas and are in serious condition at the hospital. The police have opened a criminal case for bodily harm due to negligence, and neither driver had consumed alcohol.
