A woman was hit by a tram in the area of Bd. Aerogării in Bucharest, the incident occurring around 1:32 PM. According to initial information, it seems that the woman crossed the street on a red traffic light, being caught off guard by the tram of line 5, and the driver could not avoid the impact. Medical and police crews intervened at the scene to provide assistance.


Following the accident, tram traffic on line 5 was temporarily blocked, being diverted up to the Banu Manta terminal. To ensure the continuity of public transport, bus line 605 was extended to Băneasa Airport. Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident to accurately determine what happened.
