Accident in a station in Bucharest: A car crashed into a tram, injuring several people / Two STB lines are blocked

An accident occurred on Bd. Octavian Goga in Bucharest, in the area of Piața Unirii, where a driver lost control of the steering wheel and crashed into a tram stop, injuring several people.

The incident took place on Thursday around 1:30 PM, at the Poșta Vitan stop, where the driver broke the protective fence of the passenger shelter, injuring those on the platform and hitting the tram that was stopped at the station.

Two people were transported to the hospital, being conscious, and the tram traffic on lines 23 and 27 was blocked following the incident. Authorities, including STB and the Traffic Brigade, were informed about the accident and have launched investigations to determine the exact circumstances of it.
