On Wednesday, hundreds of police officers, gendarmes, and environmental inspectors carried out 41 searches in the municipality of Târgoviște, the town of Titu, and the communes of Mătăsaru, Dragodana, and Pietrari, as well as one in Ilfov County. This action is part of 9 criminal cases targeting offenses such as the burning of waste, holding it outside authorized spaces, smuggling, and fraud.

The National Environmental Guard announced that 50 inspectors are participating in the action, along with 158 gendarmes, 219 police officers, and 24 SAS fighters. This raid aims to combat environmental crimes, utilizing modern equipment, including drones for aerial monitoring, purchased through PNRR. The action targets households and work sites suspected of illegal waste trading and burning.
