The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, about the Russian drone that fell in Galați: "The Russian Federation generates risks to our security and the Eastern Flank"

The President of the Senate, Mircea Abrudean, qualified the incident of the Russian drones that fell in Galați and Tulcea as being „a violation of international law”. He emphasized that the violation of Romanian airspace by Russia generates risks for the security of Romania and the Eastern Flank.

Abrudean called on national authorities to strengthen defense measures.

The drone was detonated on Saturday in a safety zone near Lake Brateș, which led to the suspension of traffic on DN 26 for 15 minutes. ISU Galați evacuated 535 people from the affected perimeter, ensuring the safety of citizens following the incident.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation to prevent other similar incidents.
