According to ANAT, Romanian tourism saw notable growth in 2024, approaching 2019 levels with a 5.6% contribution to GDP. The coastline saw an increase in accommodation units, but the total number of places declined, indicating a preference for more exclusive establishments. However, the decline in holiday vouchers is affecting the average tourist, and the absence of Black Sea sea cruises is limiting options for tourists.
